The House System
The House System is a traditional feature of C.B.S.E. schools – and here at The PIS each student is assigned to his/her ‘House’ upon enrollment and then accumulates points. House points are awarded for a number of achievements and competitions that encompass a wide range of sporting, academic and club activities. Range of inter house activities throughout the year imbibes sportsman spirit and creates nurturing environment for healthy competition. It encourages the leadership and managerial skills too. The house that scores the maximum cumulative points is recognized and awarded as ‘The Champion House of the Year’.
Each house has a team of committed teachers with one senior teacher as a house master. Students represent their houses as Captain, Vice- Captain, Discipline Head, Sport Head. House has a flag, a colour and a motto- It gives a sense of uniqueness and individuality. The students are assigned any of these four houses. Houses are led by Student Leaders, who work with students in each year to foster a spirit of community competition and achievement.
